Guest editors: Akihiro Nomura, Tzung-Dau Wang and Sazzli Kasim

Digital therapeutics are an emerging category of medical therapy, directly providing evidence-based medical interventions to patients through clinically evaluated software.

This special topic aims to explore the multifaceted nature of digital therapeutics. It delves into the potential of digital solutions to transform healthcare paradigms; for example, how artificial intelligence (AI) can revolutionise diagnostic procedures by tailoring them to individual needs and ensuring timely interventions. Additionally, it examines the role of wearable devices in monitoring and collecting patient data.

The convergence of AI and wearable technology in digital medicine is poised to redefine healthcare delivery by enhancing precision and personalisation. This feature, therefore, seeks to amalgamate research, insights and advances in digital therapeutics to provide a comprehensive overview of its current landscape and future potential.
