Transoesophageal echocardiogram. Interrogation of the inter-atrial septum was performed in diastole and systole using various windows, including at 0-15°, 30-60° and 90-120°. There was no evidence of any inter-atrial septal defect seen. 3D reconstruction of the inter-atrial septum did not reveal the presence of any defects. View more

Transoesophageal echocardiogram. Upon closer interrogation at various windows including 0°, 125°, 46° and 112° angles, it was noted that the apparent inferior vena cava ‘arm’ was indeed the Eustachian valve and that the inter-atrial septum was in fact, intact.
